About Diane Brown Photography
Diane Brown Photography is based on the Northern seacoast of Massachusetts. Diane has been a photographic artist for over 35 years and still uses film for her portraiture. Her Photographic Fine Art and Custom Fine Art images have been called "painterly" and "impressionistic", evoking a feeling of timelessness. A few of the effects she uses on some of her pieces pay tribute to Monet, Van Gogh, O'Keefe and other master painters she admires.
When creating natural light portraiture outdoors from Spring through Fall, Diane explains, "I prefer not to work out of a studio because I don't feel the true essence of a person can be found in an environment foreign to them. Instead, utilizing natural light, and going to places in which they already feel comfortable, my clients naturally interact with each other and almost forget I'm there! It's then much easier for me to capture their true spirit and essence."
Throughout the years, exhibiting and winning acclaim in the New England area, she creates both her Portraiture and her Photographic Fine Art in color, black and white, and individually hand-colored black and white.
